Dining Rooms
Our inviting main dining room, located on the first floor, is the perfect environment to enjoy the nutritious meals served by our friendly wait staff. Tables accommodate two to four residents and each resident has an assigned seat according to his/her needs and preferences. Every effort is made to accommodate seating requests and arrange compatible tablemates to ensure a pleasurable dining experience. The dining areas are supervised for resident safety and assistance is provided with meals if necessary.
Less mobile residents with special needs receive additional support while enjoying their meals in one of the two meal service areas located on the fourth floor.

Menu
Our extensive menu is developed by a Registered Dietitian in accordance with the wishes of the resident population. The menu meets Canada’s Food Guide requirements and choices are offered to accommodate our residents’ individual diet plans and preferences. Seasonal foods, special holidays and theme days are incorporated in the 5-week menu cycle. Refreshments are also served between meals and at bedtime.

Nutritional Information
A Registered Dietitian is an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team at Thompson House. Our Dietitian provides nutritional assessment and counselling and works with each resident to develop a nutritional care plan that best meets his/her needs.
