The demand for our programs and services is always growing and we are currently looking for people who would like to volunteer in the following areas:

Meals on Wheels
Join our team of dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteers-it only takes one hour a week! If you are available at lunchtime and have a car, you can deliver hot meals to seniors in the local area. You can choose the day of the week that best suits your needs and the length of the commitment is flexible. Mileage is reimbursed.

Transportation
If you want a position that has a great impact on the lives of seniors and is flexible to meet your needs, this is the position for you. If you have a car and are available during the day, you can drive seniors to much-needed medical appointments. Mileage is reimbursed.

Volunteer Visiting/Telephone Reassurance
Visiting a senior or making a daily phone call to someone living alone is a very rewarding way of making a contribution to your community. If you enjoy socializing or would like to volunteer without even leaving your own home, one of these positions may be right for you. You will be matched with someone in your local area who shares your interests and together you can decide how you will connect. Many of the seniors and volunteers in this program have enjoyed long-lasting, rewarding relationships and we are confident that you will too.

Event Volunteers
If you are not sure you can make a regularly scheduled volunteer commitment, you may wish to get involved in one of our many special events held throughout the year. You can use your creative talents to wrap gifts in the Don Mills Centre throughout December, support walkers at the Community Walk for Seniors, assist in organizing our golf tournament or sell trinkets in our annual treasure sale.
