Our Friendly Visiting program provides isolated individuals with companionship and a link to the community through weekly visits from volunteers. There is no fee for the service and the visits are arranged based on the needs and wishes of the client. The program coordinator will meet with clients in the convenience of their own home and will complete an assessment in order to assign a well suited volunteer.

Security Check calls, made by volunteers at approximately the same time each day, monitor safety and provide reassurance to clients who live alone in the community. In a case where a client does not answer their regular call, our volunteers are trained to follow emergency procedures by notifying our office and/or family members to ensure the client's safety. There is no fee for the service and the contacts are monitored on a regular basis by the program coordinator.

Skilled Home Support Workers provide companionship to seniors in long-term care facilities and hospitals. Our compassionate and caring workers will assist clients with grooming, hygiene, socialization, eating, exercise, and accompaniment to medical appointments. Our clients have one-on-one interaction with a skilled Home Support Worker who is trained to look after their physical and emotional needs and the consistency and reliability of our program allows our clients to build a strong relationship with their Home Support Worker. Visits are scheduled for a minimum of three hours.
