Thompson House: How to Apply

All applications for admission to Thompson House should be made through a local Community Care Access Centre. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants with a valid health card from any Canadian province. The Community Care Access Centres in the local area are:

Tours of Thompson House are provided daily. Please call us for more information or to arrange an appointment with our Social Worker.

Rates
The cost of accommodation at Thompson House is set by the Ministry of Health and as of September 1, 2002 is as follows:

	Monthly	Daily
Semi-private room	$1,724.32	$56.69
Basic ward room	$1,480.99	$48.69

Accommodation rates are adjusted annually by the Ministry of Health and apply to all Homes for the Aged in Ontario. Eligibility for a rate reduction for those paying the Basic Accommodation rate will be determined by the application of an income test. Residents in preferred Accommodation (Semi-private) are not eligible for rate reductions.
